Using Export and Import of line-items

How to get the best from the Export and Import of line-items including attachments

 

This article explains how to best use use the ability to export all of your line items into a spreadsheet or CSV file for editing outside of Trade, with the aim of re-importing it. This will ensure that any additions and changes that you make are accurately captured within Trade...

Export

To Export your line items from within an RFQ, click the download icon to Export your line-items into a CSV or Spreadsheet file.


Note
: On the Create Quote screen, the export option will will look slightly different but is located in a similar area of the page.


This will bring up another dialog box where you can select which columns you want included within your export file.

 


Import

To import your file back in to Trade, click the Import Line Items option from the Create Quote screen.

Warning! be sure that each of your lines have a unique ID number, any duplicate line IDs will result in the import failing.
