[Internal] Setting up Company Based Redirect (CBR)

How to set up CBR

Introduction

In this article, we will review how to set up a customer to use CBR.

What is CBR?

CBR or Company Based Redirect is for buyers who belong to separate companies but are managed from the same purchasing system (i.e. all RFQs/POs come from the same TradeNet ID), we can make transactions appear to come from different sub-buyer companies, based on which company (i.e. Party BY party name contact) is mentioned in the incoming RFQ/PO.

Applicable to

  • Integrated Buyers.

What you will need

  • Formal request from the customer, with approval from the AM's or Tech AM.

  • Admin access to set up configurations.

Configuration set up

Before setting any configs, it is imperative that the account relationship is clear. There will be a Parent account which will connect to ShipServ and the Child account where the documents will be directed to.

Here are the steps to follow when setting up CBR:

  1. Assign and Enable the EnableCbrMapping config on the Parent and all the Child accounts.

  2. Based on the Parent and child account set up, input the corresponding config attributes.

1 - to enable CBR Mapping for Buyers under the same Org Code

2 - to enable CBR Mapping for Buyers from the same and Different Org Code

  3. Set up the mapping under the Parent account, under Integrations & Workflow > Document Field Mappings > Click on Create new document field mappings > Select Map Type "CBR" and fill in the mapping information.

    Important Notes:

    Mapping name is NOT case-sensitive

CBR cannot be used in conjunction with Vessel Based Redirect or User Routing. For Parent Account, it will throw and error while enabling other redirection for Child Account will prevent Parent from downloading the child's transaction.

Do not forget to clear the config cache once are applied to an account!
