Variances as viewed by Suppliers
The new Variance feature enables you to see when something has ben changed or updated.
For transactions actioned after July 13, 2022, the new Variance feature enables you to see when something has been changed compared to its previous value. Where a change has occurred in a "header field", you will see a small ‘icon’ such as shown here.

IMPORTANT: Around mid-August, 2022, the variances in historical data (prior to July 13th) in Trade will be made visible as well.
After clicking a transaction to open it, if the "Show Variance" toggle is switched to the left, the variance indicators will not be shown, and if switched to the right, the variances will be shown.

This variance message box displayed at the top of the screen indicates at least one variance exists in the transaction.

Changes to Header Details
-
A green icon next to a header detail indicates a change in the prior data,
-
a blue icon indicates new information was added to a previously blank field and
-
a red icon indicates the information was deleted.
A variance in the header details will look like this simple example. The information shown in red is the obsolete information which has been replaced by the information next to the green variance icon.

However, If the update is over 280 characters, like the example below, you can click on it to view the replaced information in its entirety.

Once you click on the blue expansion icon in the top right hand corner of the variance notification, you can see the full change detailed like below.

Changes to Line Item Data
-
A green highlighted row indicates a change was made to something in that line item. The dark green highlighted cells in those green rows are where changes were made. Hovering over those cells shows the changes made.
-
A red highlighted row indicates the supplier declined the line item.
-
A blue highlighted row represents a newly added line.
The prior data which was replaced is indicated in red in the box when the variance icon is hovered over.
If there is a variance icon in the Total box at the bottom, hovering over the icon to expand it will reveal the fields which have changed.
