Attachment Sharing Permissions

Manage recipients' access of attachments (Set requirement of whether user must be a logged in, registered user or not)

By default, the attachments in your transactions may be viewed by anyone on the internet with the link (URL) to the attachment. This is "Unrestricted" sharing.

If you wish to restrict access to the attachment links to only registered users, logged into the account you are sending the transaction to, you may turn on "Restricted" access. With "Restricted" sharing turned on, the recipient would need to download the attached file before sharing it with someone not logged in to the account.

💥 Only an Admin can modify the Attachment Sharing Permissions

Managing attachment sharing permissions:

Login as an Admin, go to the Settings icon, then the Settings menu and select "Attachment sharing".

Toggle between Restricted and Unrestricted to choose the desired option.

The Admin will need to tap "OK" to confirm restricting access of the file attachment URLs to users who have logged into the ShipServ account.

A confirmation message will be shown confirming the restricted setting:

Likewise, when removing the restriction, so that anyone with the link (who is not logged into ShipServ) can access the file, the Admin will need to confirm their choice by tapping OK:

The "unrestricted" setting will show that anyone with the the URL link will be able to see the files.
