Manage permissions effortlessly with user roles

Use roles to assign consistent permissions to your team — Keep secure and compliant.

Roles are a reusable set of permissions that you can assign to members of your team. Roles determine what level of access and functionality each individual member in your team has. When adding a new user they'll be given regular user permissions. Click here for more details on adding users.

Assigning roles

From the users list roles can be selected. Multiple admins are allowed to be set.

Note: Only admins can assign roles

 

 

Users with multiple roles

Roles are set at a company level. Users who belong to multiple companies can have multiple roles. For example, you could be an admin of Supplier A, and a user of Supplier B.

 

 

 

Current Roles

Right now we only support two roles; user and admin. Down the line roles will be extended to support the growth of the ShipServ Platform and ensure you remain secure.

 

 

Admin

Admins have full access to ShipServ and are responsible for controlling permissions.

🚨 Important: You must always have at least one "Admin" on your team

  • View and manage transactions

  • Invite and remove users

  • Assign all roles

  • Edit company details

  • View subscriptions

  • Allow/disallow users to invite additional users

 

User

Users have regular access to ShipServ but with the restrictions on managing the company account.

  • View and manage transactions

  • View company details

  • Invite users (if Admin had granted permissions)
