Solutions Available

Public Catalogues

Public catalogues expose Suppliers' products and services to buyers around the world on ShipServ.com and directly through their Digital Storefront (Supplier Profile).

With support for rich product information, public catalogues ensure buyers have clear visibility of what is on offer and support common time-consuming workflows such as consolidation of IHM documents.

Better yet, public catalogues can be used to support Trade directly. With the ability to 'add to cart', Buyers can export supplier products for usage in requisitions, RFQs and purchase orders.

Trade Only Catalogues


Trade catalogues offer Suppliers who don't have Public catalogues the ability to upload their catalogues for use in Trade, providing them pricing information to reference when quoting and confirming orders.


Contracted
Assortments

Contracted Assortments, sometimes referred to as Contracted Catalogues, allows Suppliers and Buyers to host their contracts digitally for usage in Trade.

Terms and Definitions


Assortments

Also known as a ‘product mix’ or ‘portfolio’ refers to the complete set of products and/or services encompassing all product lines, irrespective of locale, availability, manufacturer, etc…

 


Buyers Assortment

In the perspective of a Buyer - All the products available to a buyer organisation, are usually formed of contracted products and products offered from approved suppliers.


Assortment Width

Refers to the breadth of product lines that an assortment contains. Chandlers have broad assortments whereas specialist suppliers, such as safety suppliers, have narrow assortments.


Assortment Depth

Refers to the number of variations of sub-categories of products within a given product line. Products categorised to low depths allow for easier identification, accurate comparison and better analysis of similar products.


Catalogues

A complete list of products typically curated from an assortment based on one or multiple semantic criteria such as locale, product line, brand and category.



Category Based Catalogues

These are focussed on product lines such as a Safety catalogue or sub-categories within product lines such as Lifeboat and Liferaft Equipments catalogue.


Locale based catalogues

These catalogues may be country, region or port-specific where availability and pricing differ. These catalogues may contain some of the same products with some data internationalised such as Unit of Measurement (imperial versus metric).


Contracts

An agreement specifying the terms on which a supplier will supply products to a buyer over a set period of time. Terms include products, pricing and discounts. Multiple contracts may exist in parallels such as Stores and Provisions contracts separately.

Contracted Assortment

Also known as contracted products or contracted catalogue refers to the agreed set of products and/or services from a supplier to a buyer. The products may be either the full assortment of the supplier or a sub-set usually based on semantic criteria such as category or locale.


Contracted Pricing

Refers to the agreed pricing for products and/or services between the supplier and buyer. This may be a custom set price for each product independently or a discount on the list price applied across the whole contracted assortment or set per category.
