Manage and update your Company Premium Profile on Search

Accessing and updating the company profile to optimise your exposure

Your Company profile has been designed to showcase your company's capabilities in the best possible light. The content you provide on your profile is used within our search engine to ensure your company profile can be found. It is therefore key to ensure your profile is up to date and reflective of your company's capabilities.

This video will walk you through the steps to manage your Premium Profile Content:

How to update your company premium profile

💥You must be logged in as an Admin to edit your profile.

Click here to edit your company profile. Alternatively, log in and select the settings menu on right and then the Account tab at the top of the menu.

Please note: Only administrators are able to update the profile. Users or administrators of other branches (in case of a profile group) can only view the profile and edit branch contact details.

It may take up to 30 minutes until changes can be viewed on your profile.

Display Name

Your display name is what is shown on your profile. It should be seen as the trading name of your company/group, e.g. Volkswagen Group.

Please note this is also what is used within our search engine.

Company Logo

Our recommended formats are SVG, JPG or PNG at a size of 240px x 240px. We recommend SVG.

Company Summary

A short summary of what your company does, up to 140 characters. This is an opportunity to promote your core capabilities at a glance in the search results. Concisely let our users know what you do.

Note: if the summary is not provided, a snippet of the company description will be displayed on the search results

Company description

A full description of your company's capabilities is displayed in your Company profile. This is an opportunity to provide a comprehensive overview of your business. Be sure to highlight what makes your company shine including why a user would send you an RFQ.

Brands

Not only can you add/remove brands, but you can also specify whether you are an authorised reseller for that brand. Contact our support team if you need to be registered as the owner of the brand. If the registered Brand Owner verifies the authorized status, a green check mark will be displayed next to the brand in your profile. In the pending stage, an orange check mark will be shown.

Categories

There are two levels of categories: Primary and All Categories (secondary).

Primary categories specified should be considered as your company's core business activities. Primary categories will also boost your company's ranking within our search engine and display to buyers on the search results.

Ports

When you add ports to your profile, if your company is regularly delivering or servicing vessels within a port (with company resources), make sure to mark those ports as being "present in" . After adding all the ports, view the list of ports and click the three dots to select "Make present in" or remove the port. Visitors to your profile can then better understand your company's geographical "reach" A maximum of 60 ports can be added.

Documents

Upload PDF documents to your profile. Each document upload is limited to 10mb in size.

You can upload documents by tapping the settings icon and browsing to Profile > Information > Downloads. There you can also add a label for the document to be displayed under the thumbnail in your profile.

Videos

You can include a link in your profile to one video, from either Vimeo or YouTube.

You can include the video link by browsing to Profile > About, under the option "Highlights Video". By clicking on "Upload new", it will enable you to paste in a URL (web address) for your video that is hosted on the YouTube or Vimeo platforms.

Note: If you previously had a video on your old profile on ShipServ Pages, that video will still be available. If your corporate video is also hosted on the YouTube or Vimeo platforms, we would recommend that you Upload these versions (and replace the existing) to your profile .
